Cursillo |
Cursillo is active and growing. In March 2010 there were Men's and Women's weekends here in the valley. The Holy Spirit was very active and powerful at both weekends! The candidates are now truly on fire to get to know, love, and serve our great Lord better! Chris Way and Chuck Milhoan were St. Johns candidates. If you would like to know more about Cursillo speak with Fr. Frank, Deacon Chuck, Dan Basche, Kurt and Susan Gruenberg, George Santamaria or any of the other cursillistas in the parish. [more] |

Daughters of the King | The Daughters of the King is a lay Order for women who are communicants of the Episcopal Church, or churches in communion with it, or churches who are in the Historic Episcopate. Members undertake a Rule of Life, incorporating the Rule of Prayer and the Rule of Service. By reaffirmation of the promises made at Confirmation, a Daughter pledges herself to a life-long program of prayer, service and evangelism, dedicated to the spread of Christ's Kingdom and the strengthening of the spiritual life of her parish. We meet once per month in fellowship to study, pray and share with each other. All women of the parish are welcome to join. Crosswalk - Young Adults
"Walking in the light of the Cross" |
At St. John's we are happy to encourage the spiritual growth and fellowship amongst our Young adults. We meet every Sunday in between services (at 9:10) to go deeper in our faith and so that we can have delicious coffee and get a million hugs and greetings from our church family :)
Crosswalk also meets every First and Third Friday of the Month for fellowship night. Our events include: Concerts,BBQ's, pool parties, game night, movies, AZ Diamondback games, AZ Science center, hiking, retreats, and so much more and all are little cost or FREE! We also do local outreach and mission work when called! Once a month we have a special night dedicated to going deeper on a particular topic of our choice, forgiveness, relationships, anxiety, love, etc. The ages are anywhere from 18-35 and we have a nursery if you have been blessed with little ones in your life! Anyone who is interested in knowing more can call Amanda or just come into the church and see someone at the visitors center! |

Youth Group | Our youth group at St. Johns is called M.I.L.C which stands for "Meeting In Love with Christ". We have a lot of activities that center around Christ and Christ’s teachings. We normally meet on Sunday evenings from 4 - 6 p.m for a light dinner followed by worship with our own band, then discussions. We also like to publicize other activities that our youth are participating in so that the Parish can support them in their activities. Also, since our M.I.L.C. band plays contemporary Christian music, we like to attend Christian concerts and events where our youth can experience the music played by their favorite musical groups. We hope you can join us on Sunday evenings! Check with Lynne Gardner for information on Youth Group activities [more] |
